Originally the Ducal Brunswick Corps , also called Black Legion and later known in British service as the Black Brunswickers, was a volunteer corps formed on 1 April 1809, during the Fifth Coalition War , by the "Black Duke" Frederick William of Brunswick-Lüneburg-Oels to fight against Napoleon Bonaparte and the French occupation of Germany on various European battlefields .

Throughout their fairly short, but eventful history, they earned the nicknames "Schwarze Schar - Black Horde" and "Regiment of Death".

The in-game regiment was raised on the 12th of May 2026 by Oberst Clocc, although it has existed under different names since 2016. The current composition of companies includes full independent Infantry, Artillery and Cavalry companies with specialised weekly events for each. Upon joining you will have the option to specialise in either the Artillery or the Infantry companies.
